Gorontalo Regency, Kominfotik – Provincial secretary Sofian Ibrahim, visited the agricultural land of Gorontalo PPN Vocational school , located in Luhu Village, Telaga sub District, Gorontalo Regency on tuesday (March 11, 2025). Accompanying him, there were also chairperson of the Provincial DWP, Sulastri Ibrahim Husain, the Education Department’s Head of Vocational High Schools, Agus Sumba, and school principal, Jamaludin Hamid.

During his visit, Sofian praised the school’s well-managed agricultural potential, which has already benefited many people. He hoped that the current 1.5-hectare land could continue to expand and plant the variety of plants from medicinal plants, fruits, and vegetables to ornamental plants that can be also sold and can be made into attractive gift packages.

On this occasion, Sofian also purchased several types of fruit plants, including mini kedondong, oranges, and figs.

Gorontalo PPN Vocational is such , a school specializing in agricultural education, has developed approximately 300 plant varieties, including ornamental plants, medicinal plants, vegetables, fruits, and traditional Gorontalo plants.

In addition to being a popular educational tourism destination, SMK PPN Gorontalo also serves as a plant seed production center and collaborates with the Faculty of Medicine at Gorontalo State University (UNG), as it cultivates around 100 types of medicinal plants.
