Gorontalo Regency, Kominfotik – The first phase of the grand corn harvest in order to support food security under the National Police Task Force initiative, was officially carried out across 18 regional police commands in Indonesia on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. In Gorontalo, the harvest yielded an estimated 32.65 tons of corn from a 6.5-hectare plot located in east Limehe Village, Batudaa sub district, Gorontalo Regency.

The event, held in Madiun Regency, East Java Province, was led by the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, and Vice Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono. According to a report from the National Police Task Force Chairman, delivered by the Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps’ Pioneer Troops (Danpaspelopor Korbrimob Polri), Brigadier General Waris Agono, the total harvested area today up to 3,846 hectares, with an estimated yield ranging from 19,233 to 38,467 tons. This harvest primarily consists of corn intended for animal feed and other uses, while corn for human consumption had already been earlier harvested.
