Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Free Meal Program in Gorontalo Province will get started, Monday (6/1/2025). For the initial step, President Prabowo Subianto’s program only applies to 2882 students and 118 pregnant women in Gorontalo City.
The Provincial Secretary Sofian Ibrahim conducted an inspection at 74 Elementary school, 8 Junior High School and Vocational School Tridharma, Gorontalo City.
On that occasion, there was also acting Mayor Ismail Madjid, Danrem 133/Nani Wartabone Brigadier General TNI Hari Pahlawantoro, Gorontalo Police Chief Commissioner Ade Permana and other related agencies.
The Provincial Secretary Sofian conveyed his grateful and welcomed to this free nutritious meal program. He believed that intensive coordination across sectors is needed, especially to ensure the availability of food supplies to be cooked and distributed.
Meanwhile, Danrem 133/Nani Wartabone Brigadier General Hari Pahlawantoro explained that the distribution of this program in Gorontalo City for the initial stage had only been implemented in 14 schools. The State Budget financing’s scheme is through the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in collaboration with the Hulonthalo Pangan Bergizi Foundation. Furthermore, a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) was formed as the technical implementing agency
The implementation of the first day of MBG in Gorontalo City ran well. The menu served is quite complete, such as white rice, soy sauce fried chicken, fried tofu, cap cay vegetables and watermelon. This MBG will be given every school day with a varied menu.
