To develop a close relationship between  Gorontalo and Malaysia so far Hamka Hendra Noer the acting Gorontalo governor that do working visit to Malaysia a few months ago has started show beneficial results.

Some businessmen flocked from Malaysia to Gorontalo.

Starting on February 2023, a businessman from Malaysia Dato Seri Haji Saipolbahari Bin Suib. He intended to build a new hotel in Gorontalo.

“I may say thank to the Gorontalo governor for being given us opportunity to do investment in Gorontalo. Firstly I will see the location, then I will do the enviromental impact assesment.  so that later it will not harm all parties,” Dato Seri Saipolbahari expressed.

Then on March 9th  2023, Exco Agriculture and Selangor Malaysia Infrastructure, Izham Bin Hashim visited Gorontalo to watch closely how good Gorontalo corn quality as we know that Malaysia is such a country that had a higher consumption of meat and eggs.

Malaysia has a demand in dried corn. Mostly malaysian plant and eat sweet corn.

In the other hand, Gorontalo is the largest-corn producing country in the world

Hamka succeeded in convincing Malaysia to do corn import from Gorontalo is more effective than shipping from Brazil or Argentina  and Ukraine. Meanwhile Gorontalo corn routinely only export to Philippines.

There will be a concrete thing to realize this relationship and the acting Gorontalo governor Hamka Hendra Noer will do Bussiness to Bussiness way. Hamka also added that he will reactive the Regionally-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) which is
they’re in a state of suspended animation. So through this way will give a benefial result for Gorontalo people.
