GORONTALO CITY- Gorontalo Provincial Government and its ranks carried out a ceremony to commemorate the National Awakening Day (Harkitnas) at the Popa Eyato Museum’s yard, Monday (5/21).
Acting Gorontalo Provincial Secretary, Anis Naki acts as Inspector of the 110th National Awakening Day (Harkitnas) Anniversary ceremony and delivered speech of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rudiantara. He said, more than one- thousand years ago there were so many Indonesian citizens association formed, they fought bravely in taking away and maintaining the independence of our country from the colonialist’s arm
Anis expressed that we have to reflect from Budi Utomo’s figure to raise nationalism which is only a few people fought with all limit at that time, but they improved how enhanced the economy, health, education and so on at that time.
While reading the speech of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Anis also added, that Harkitnas is not separated from the role of Boedi Oetomo as a unifying figure of the nation.”Boedi Oetomo provides an example of how to gather and organize without seeing the origin of primordial, which ultimately encourages the spirit of nationalism to achieve independence,” he expressed.
