GORONTALO CITY – Gorontalo Governor, Rusli Habibie was appointed on the 50’s Health Leading Figure at BPJS 50’s Anniversary in the forthcoming July. That’s due to his contribution in conducting free health program for low-income people.

Furthermore, Rendra expressed that Gorontalo Province is one of the fourth province in Indonesia who has been achieved total health coverage for health care and 97 per cent residents have already had health assurance, called Jamkesta funded by Gorontalo APBD.

“There are 4 province that have been had health care assurance, such as Aceh, DKI Jakarta, Gorontalo and West Papua,” Rendra remarked.

Meanwhile, Gorontalo Governor, Rusli Habibie, asked BPJS’s Head to be more intensively in doing socialization to the low-income people, focusing in referral, hospitalization and BPJS claim process.

Regarding to the low-income people health care assurance, Rusli explained that Gorontalo government will guarantee 203.893 population on Jamkesta Program and government drew up a budget amount 1,9 billion rupiahs to overcome some expenses whenever needed.

Rusli Habibie is also known as a Head of Region that has a care personality in Health. When he was still as a Gorontalo Utara Regent, Rusli was the pioneer who care about the health assurance for low-income people. His concern is still continuing up till now and creating free medical care as one of his eight leading program.
