JAKARTA – The Vice Governor of Gorontalo Province attended the National Informal Discussion of Regional Representative Council RI at Nusantara IV Building, Senayan, Friday (17/11). The National Informal Discussion was talking about how to bring into existence the DPD constitution’s responsibility. The event was officially opened by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

In his speech, Presiden Jokowi stated how to overcome inequality, by infrastructure development program Jokowi said that nowadays not centrally Jawa but Centrally Indonesia.

“Develop Indonesia from the edges, develop Indonesia from the outer islands, because all regions need that. We develop in order to inequality of infrastructure between Western Indonesia, Central and Eastern Indonesia will become equal.

Before then the Vice Chairman of Regional Representative Council (DPD) RI, Nono Sampono expressed that this event was aimed to submit the Research Council Result of People Consultative Assembly RI (MPR RI) which was cooperate with Regional Representative Council (DPD RI).
“we would like to thank to Presiden Joko Widodo for achieving the book of research result then,” Nono said.

He also asked support from the government to realize the constitutional of DPD RI. He conveyed that DPD RI had already have commitment to strengthen their role and function in state administration.
He also asked support from the government to realize the constitutional of DPD RI in accomplishing state administration mainly in UUD 45 (1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia).

Accompanying President Jokowi on the occasion were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti and Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Head of MPR Zulkifli Hasan and Vice Chairman of DPR Taufik Kurniawan.
