Gorontalo Regency, Kominfotik – Vice Governor of Gorontalo Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie has begun checking the readiness of homestays that will be used by participants of the XVII National Farmers and Fishermen Week (PENAS). The inspection of accommodations located in Bunggalo Village, Telaga Jaya District, Gorontalo Regency, was carried out alongside the Head of the Food Security and Horticulture Department of Gorontalo Province, Mulyadi

Mario, on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
During the inspection, Idah ensured that the prepared houses have adequate capacity and facilities to provide comfort for participants coming from various regions across Indonesia. One of the houses visited was deemed highly eligible to serve as a homestay due to its spacious layout and several large bedrooms.
In addition to building eligibility, the Vice Governor reminded homeowners to maintain cleanliness and secure items that are potentially fragile or prone to damage while the homestay is occupied by participants. According to her, the readiness of the community as hosts is a crucial factor in ensuring the success of PENAS XVII in Gorontalo.
Vice Governor Idah also checked the location of the Agricultural Technology Exhibition in Limboto.
Idah also emphasized the importance of hospitality and providing informative guidance to guests. Homestay owners are expected to assist participants by providing information regarding public facilities and services needed during their stay in Gorontalo.
The Provincial Government, together with the Gorontalo Regency Government, continued Idah, has prepared around 5,000 homestays to accommodate PENAS XVII participants, whose numbers are projected to reach tens of thousands. To date, the number of registered participants continues to grow, prompting the government to keep mapping out local residents’ houses that have the potential to be used as lodging locations.
After checking the homestay locations, Idah and her team proceeded to inspect the venue for the PENAS XVII Agricultural Technology Exhibition in Hepuhulawa Sub-district, Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. This inspection was carried out to continually ensure the readiness of the infrastructure at the main location, which will serve as the center of activities and participant visits during the PENAS Farmers and Fishermen XVII event from June 20–25.
