Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) across Gorontalo Province through a briefing and evaluation session for SPPG heads, partners, and foundations. The event was attended by Brigadier General Rudi Setiawan, Director of Monitoring and Supervision for Region III, and took place at the Aston Gorontalo Hotel on Wednesday (May 6, 2026).
The Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program Task Force, attended the meeting and emphasized the importance of commitment from all parties to improve program implementation in the region.
She noted that the key points discussed in the forum were highly relevant, particularly regarding the various dynamics of MBG implementation in several areas, including Gorontalo.
Furthermore, the Vice Governor revealed that Gorontalo had previously received a visit from the central BGN leadership to strengthen synergy through interactive dialogue. She urged all stakeholders—including foundations, partners, SPPG heads, and nutritionists—to remain open-minded and committed to providing the best for the nation’s next generation.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Rudi Setiawan underscored the strategic role of SPPG heads as operational managers of the MBG kitchens. The SPPG head is responsible for ensuring that all processes—from receiving raw materials, warehousing, and production to portioning and food distribution—comply with quality standards and food safety protocols.
On the other hand, nutritionists play a crucial role in planning menus based on Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA/AKG), ensuring balanced nutrition, and monitoring food quality before it is distributed to the beneficiaries.
The entire implementation of the 2026 MBG Program is guided by the Decree of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency Number 401.1 of 2025 regarding the Technical Guidelines for the Governance of Free Nutritious Meal Implementation.
