Bone Bolango Regency, Kominfotik – With a unique maritime theme, The Provincial Gov’t kicked off the 80th Indonesian Independence Day celebrations This year’s launch at the Whale Shark Tourism Area in Botubarani, Bone Bolango Regency by freeing white doves on Saturday (August 2, 2025).
Some series enliven the event such as fun walk from Kurenai Beach to the Whale Shark tourism site followed by hundreds of gov’t officer and this was officially flagged off by Governor Gusnar Ismail and Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie,
Provincial Secretary.
The Provincial secretary, Sofian Ibrahim who is being the chairman of this event conveyed that Botubarani was chosen to highlight the region’s marine tourism potential, especially the Whale Shark attraction. The destination is expected to gain wider recognition both nationally and internationally.
Governor Gusnar noted that the promotional efforts are already showing results, some traveller from abroad visiting visited after seeing whale shark tourism promotions on the Ministry of Tourism’s videotron.
He hope that all elements of society will continue to work together through the spirit of independence and environmental preservation.
Furthermore, all participants joined in a beach cleanup activity.
