
Balikpapan City, Kominfotik – Provincial Dekranasda, in collaboration with Bank of Indonesia Gorontalo representative and Bank of Indonesia Balikpapan representative, facilitated a partnership between two MSMEs due to supporting Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia in order to create an innovation in Indonesian traditional textiles, on Sunday (July 13, 2025).
There are Olami MSME from Gorontalo known for producing Karawo embroidery fabric, collaborated with CV KurniaWP Batik from Balikpapan City, which produces Balikpapan Batik.These cultural heritages into a single fabric as an innovation in regional textile product diversification.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between them worth IDR 600 million. On this occasion there were also Provincial Dekranasda Chairperson, Nani Ismail Mokodongan, the Head of Bank Indonesia Gorontalo Representative Office, members of the Balikpapan Dekranas, and officials from Bank Indonesia Balikpapan.
It is aimed to open great opportunities for both businesses to expand their markets both nationally and wordwide.
Furthermore, to strengthen the competitiveness of local products in the global market so hopefully inspiring other MSMEs to continue innovating and building cross-regional collaborations
