GORONTALO CITY, Kominfotik –  During a coordination meeting of LLDIKTI XVI, Governor Gusnar Ismail expressed the existence of private universities (PTS) to improve the quality of human resources in Gorontalo is crucial, the meeting was held at . Aston Hotel, Gorontalo City, on Monday (March 10, 2025).

Governor Gusnar expressed this in front of the audience. According to him, this is in line with his leadership’s priority programs, private universities must establish collaborations with various stakeholders and implement digital transformation in education and must be focus on in changing the public mindset. Gov. Gusnar also added that PTS must enhance their infrastructure quality and teaching staff and Private Universities (PTS) should no longer be seen as merely a second choice after public universities.

On this occasion, Governor Gusnar also urged that LLDIKTI XVI should have a permanent office building in Gorontalo as soon as possible. He noted that LLDIKTI XVI which is covered three provinces—Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi has an advantage for the Gorontalo, as Gorontalo has relatively fewer private universities compared to the other provinces.
