Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – Governor of Gorontalo Gusnar Ismail inaugurated the commencement of the HOS Cokroaminoto Road improvement project in Gorontalo City on Monday (1/6/2026). The construction of this 1.7-kilometer road section will be carried out in stages, adjusting to the local government’s budget capacity.
Gusnar explained that budget constraints prevent the road construction from being completed all at once within a single year. Therefore, the management of HOS Cokroaminoto Road is being handled in phases—starting with 675 meters first, while the remainder will be continued the following year.
The Governor also reminded the public to maintain the sidewalks that have been built along the road. The presence of these sidewalks is crucial to ensure the safety and comfort of pedestrians.
He requested the executing contractor to carry out the work in strict accordance with the designated technical specifications. He also emphasized that the project must be completed on time so as not to disrupt public activities for too long.
Furthermore, Gusnar urged the supervisory consultant to maximize their oversight duties. According to him, the quality of the work must be the top priority so that the development outcomes can benefit the community in the long run.
