Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – Governor of Gorontalo Gusnar Ismail urged the practice of Pancasila values in daily life while serving as the inspector of the ceremony commemorating the 2026 Birthday of Pancasila at the Governor’s Office Yard, Monday (1/6/2026). This appeal was made to strengthen national commitment amidst various global challenges.
While reading the remarks from the Head of the Agency for Pancasila Ideology Education (BPIP) of the Republic of Indonesia, Gusnar stated that Pancasila serves as the nation’s moral anchor in facing various global challenges. From technological disruption to geopolitical dynamics, the values of Pancasila must remain the guiding principle in national and state life.
Gusnar invited all elements of the nation, especially the younger generation, to make Pancasila a living ideology. According to him, economic and technological progress without a strong moral direction could distance the nation from the noble ideals of the country’s founders.
He reminded that Pancasila values should not merely be symbols in office rooms or just written in history books. These values must be manifested in concrete actions to face various challenges, including radical ideologies that can destroy national harmony.
Furthermore, the Birthday of Pancasila, which carries the theme “Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace,” serves as a firm statement that these values are not only relevant for maintaining national unity, but also serve as the answer to achieving lasting world peace.

Concluding his remarks, Gusnar invited the entire community to reaffirm their national commitment and strengthen the spirit of unity. He emphasized that as long as the values of Pancasila continue to be deeply internalized and practiced, Indonesia will remain a great nation that upholds religiosity, humanity, and social justice.
The ceremony was also attended by Vice Gov.
Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, Provincial Secretary
Sofian Ibrahim, Provincial Working Unit’s head.
The ceremony was further joined by Echelon IV officials, personnel from the Transportation Agency (Dishub), the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), TAGANA (Disaster Response Volunteers), the Fire Department, and the Forestry Police of Gorontalo Province.
