Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Gorontalo Provincial Government commemorated Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 Hijriah / 2026 AD by encouraging the strengthening of a Quran-reading culture within government agencies.
The Vice Governor of Gorontalo, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, stated that the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an should not be viewed merely as a ceremonial event. Instead, it serves as a momentum to remind government officials to understand and implement the values of the Al-Qur’an in their daily lives.
According to her, practicing Quranic values is essential—not only in personal life but also in carrying out duties as government officials serving the community. She also urged parents to set an example for their children by instilling a love for the Al-Qur’an from an early age.

Furthermore, Idah explained that the Gorontalo Provincial Government has launched a program to habituate Quran reading within government offices as part of an effort to embed religious values into the officials’ work culture.
She expressed her hope that the habit of reading the Al-Qur’an would not be limited to the month of Ramadan but would continue to be a part of the daily routine for government officials.
The Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 H / 2026 AD commemoration within the Gorontalo Provincial Government began with congregational Isha and Tarawih prayers. The event also featured a religious lecture delivered by Ustadz Husni Idrus.
