Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Provincial Gov’t officially opened its new Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BKAD) building, located in Padebuolo, East Kota District, Gorontalo City. The inauguration was marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque by Governor Gusnar Ismail and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Speaker of the Provincial DPRD, Thomas Mopili, on Tuesday (Jan 20, 2026).
The construction of the building spanned two fiscal years (2024 and 2025), following initial planning in 2023.
2024 Phase: Budgeted at 6.7 billion IDR, covering foundations, structure, and roofing over a 150-day period.
2025 Phase: Budgeted at 6.8 billion IDR, focusing on interior/exterior finishing and landscaping over 120 days.
2026 Plans: Construction will continue this year for the perimeter fencing. The facility sits on a 2,800-square-meter plot, with an additional 2,100 square meters of land acquired.

Shift in Focus & New Spirits
Governor Gusnar stated that the new facility should ignite a “new spirit” in achieving timely and targeted expenditure realization. He noted a significant structural shift this year:
Specialized Focus: The BKAD is no longer tasked with revenue collection. Instead, it will focus exclusively on expenditure and regional asset management.
New Revenue Agency: With the approval of the DPRD, the Provincial Government has established a dedicated Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda). This new body is tasked with identifying and inventorying potential regional revenue sources.
The Governor hopes that this specialization will lead to more efficient governance and better asset tracking for the province.
