GORONTALO CITY, Kominfotik – The leadership of Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail and Deputy Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie is not yet eight months old. During their time in office, a total of 11 ministers and deputy ministers have visited Gorontalo.
The first state official to visit Gorontalo was the Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Fahri Hamzah. That visit took place on February 25, 2025, just five days after the inauguration of Gusnar–Idah.
Next, it was the turn of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, who visited Gorontalo on April 29, 2025. Less than a week later, Gorontalo received another visit from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Brian Yuliarto, on May 3, 2025.
In June 2025, two ministers and one deputy minister visited the “Veranda of Mecca.” First was the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, on June 11, 2025. He was followed by the Minister and Deputy Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto and Ahmad Riza Patria, on June 17, 2025.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, was the next to visit Gorontalo on July 27, 2025. Following him were the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky, and the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, on September 27, 2025.
The Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, is the seventh minister to visit Gorontalo on October 8, 2025. The Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment came with the Deputy Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Veronica Tan, who became the fourth deputy minister to visit Gorontalo to date.
Besides ministers and deputy ministers, a number of officials from high-level ministries and institutions have also visited Gorontalo. Most recently was the Director General of Plantations from the Ministry of Agriculture, Abdul Roni Angkat, who visited recently.
