Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Regional Secretary of Gorontalo Province, Sofian Ibrahim, has been officially elected as the Chairman of the Provincial Management Board (DPP) of the Alumni Association of Government Administration Higher Education (IKAPTK) for the 2025–2030 period. This selection was conducted acclamation at the 3rd IKAPTK Congress, held at the Hall of the Regional Secretary’s Official Residence on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Initially, three candidates were nominated for the chairmanship: Head of the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (Kominfotik) Sri Wahyuni Daeng Matona, Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Wahyudin Katili, and Sofian Ibrahim. All three presented their respective visions and missions to the congress forum.
The election process, which was supposed to be conducted through deliberation and consensus, was dynamic. However, for the sake of efficiency and organizational solidarity, the two other candidates, Wahyuni and Wahyudin, openly withdrew and declared their support for Sofian Ibrahim.
With only one candidate remaining, the session leaders and all congress members agreed to confirm Sofian Ibrahim as the DPP IKAPTK Chairman by acclamation. This decision was well-received by the congress participants, who believe Sofian’s leadership will bring progress to the alumni organization.
In presenting his vision and mission, Sofian affirmed his commitment to making IKAPTK a strong and high-integrity organization. He also expressed his hope that all members would continue to contribute actively.
