Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – A total of 56 functional officials within the Gorontalo provincial government participated in the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony held at the Governor’s official residence hall on Monday (6/10/2025). This inauguration was the first conducted by Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail.
“This inauguration is the first ceremony for me to install officials; later, this will be a routine duty and ceremony that will always take place within the provincial government environment,” Gusnar stated.
In detail, the functional officials inaugurated consisted of 26 people promoted to a higher level, 19 people transferring from other positions, and 11 people in a position adjustment. The officials appointed to functional positions are currently serving in the Regional Personnel Agency, Health Agency, Hasri Ainun Habibie Regional General Hospital, Food Agency, Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), and the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP).
Gusnar explained that substantially, functional positions allow freedom in expressing thoughts and analyses to be used in the interest of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD). He stressed at least three points to the newly appointed officials: always thinking based on legal arguments, mastering regulations, and having a good understanding of policy.
In conclusion, Governor Gusnar hopes that functional and administrator officials can establish synergy and collaboration within their respective OPDs and be responsible for running the government with the priority of excellent and high-quality public service.
