Bone Bolango Regency, Kominfotik – The Merah Putih Village Cooperative, established in Mopuya Village, is now actively running its business activities. Since its formation, the cooperative has focused on two main sectors: mining services and SPBN (Fishermen’s Fuel Filling Station). Its presence is expected to support the government while also providing direct economic benefits to the community.

During his working visit to Bone Raya Sub-district on Wednesday (September 17, 2025), Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail appreciated the community’s initiative in establishing the cooperative. Out of 165 households, 56 have already registered. The cooperative is targeted to begin operations soon after meeting the minimum requirement of 50 percent membership.

The Governor emphasized that the government is opening opportunities for cooperatives to engage in mining with permits of up to 10 hectares, which could be expanded in the future. He stressed that the cooperative’s management must be serious and uphold integrity in running the business.

Governor also added that the success of the Merah Putih Cooperative largely depends on the performance of its management in operating the business and involving its members. The Provincial Government is ready to provide support so that this cooperative can become a driver of economic growth for the village community.
