JAKARTA CITY, Kominfotik – Governor Gusnar Ismail’s efforts to advocate for the transformation of IAIN Sultan Amai into UIN Gorontalo have been warmly welcomed by Minister of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Rini Widyantini. Minister Rini Widyantini explained that the transformation process should not take long. It is not merely about the filtering process from MenPAN-RB, but more importantly, her office is implementing the criteria set by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Therefore, MenPAN-RB will immediately facilitate the acceleration of IAIN Sultan Amai’s transformation into UIN Gorontalo.

He also stated that the transformation of IAIN into UIN aligns with the Gorontalo Provincial Government’s priority program to improve the quality of human resources through the education sector.
“The Provincial Government’s aspiration is to make Gorontalo a hub of education and culture in Eastern Indonesia. Currently, education has become the driving force capable of stimulating Gorontalo’s economic growth,” explained the Governor.
At the meeting, Minister Rini was accompanied by her Deputy and Assistant Deputy, while Governor Gusnar Ismail was accompanied by the Head of Bappeda and the Rector of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo.
