GORONTALO CITY, Kominfotik – Governor Gusnar Ismail inaugurated 25 members of the 2025 Gorontalo Provincial Paskibraka (National Flag Hoisting Troop) at the Governor’s official residence hall on Friday (8/15/2025). The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Provincial Parliament, the Provincial Secretary, Forkopimda leaders, the Chairwoman of the PKK Nani Ismail Mokodongan, as well as several heads of provincial working units (OPD)

The inauguration was marked by the symbolic presentation of a ceremonial sash by the Governor of Gorontalo and the recitation of the oath by all Paskibraka members. After the ceremony, Governor Gusnar motivated and personally congratulated each Paskibraka member.

The Paskibraka members were selected through a series of strict stages including health tests, knowledge of nationalism, marching drills, and leadership assessments. Those selected are the best high school students representing various schools across Gorontalo Province.

The centralized training for the Gorontalo Provincial Paskibraka began on August 1–10, 2025, followed by joint training with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police
(Polri), and a full rehearsal from August 11–15, 2025. This year, the Gorontalo Provincial Paskibraka is divided into two groups, Garuda and Maleo. Both groups will share duties during the flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies in commemoration of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the Governor’s official residence yard
