Gorontalo City, Kominfotik- Gorontalo Karawo Carnival (GKK) 2023 received appreciation from Gorontalo people and the Provincial Secretary Budiyanto Sidiki closed the event series at Taruna Remaja’s yard, saturday (19/08/2023).

“We firstly would like to thank the committee for holding this event to be succesful, especially the Ministry of Tourism, all sponsors attendees, jury, and all contest performers,” Budi delivered.

Budi also added that this year there is a differentiation. Usually it is held in a closed room, but this year was held in an open air and it can be enjoyed by all Gorontalo people,” he continued.

Belows are the series of the carnival event was held such as painting competition for karawo motifs for junior high school level and ended with a karawo fashion show competition. Winners were announced at the closing of the event.

As the main event, the Karawo carnival competition, which was carried out with great fanfare, was won by the Provincial Industry and Trade Office (Diskumperindag). The Runner Up  was won by the Regional Conservation Agency XVII, and the third winner was won by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).

On that occasion, there were also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, who was represented by Expert Staff of the Minister for Innovation and Creative, Restog Krisna Kusuma, Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy represented by Ni Nyoman Lateri, Chairwoman of Dekranasda Gorontalo Province Fima Agustina, as well as all related parties.
