Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Gorontalo Provincial Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2027 Fiscal Year is projected at approximately IDR 1.2 trillion. Amidst these fiscal constraints, Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail emphasized that the budget will be directed toward specific and strategic development programs for the community’s benefit.
Gusnar explained that the 2027 regional revenue projection consists of local original revenue (PAD) of around IDR 407 billion, transfer revenues of around IDR 797 billion, and other legitimate regional revenues of around IDR 400 million. This projection does not yet account for potential receipts from people’s mining levies and mining profit-sharing funds.
”In 2027, we will still experience a decline in transfers to the regions. We can see that the APBD for 2024 was IDR 1.9 trillion, for 2025 IDR 1.8 trillion, for 2026 IDR 1.6 trillion, and in 2027 it is IDR 1.2 trillion. The question now is, where should we direct this miniscule APBD for the people of Gorontalo?” Gusnar revealed during the DPRD Plenary Session on the Ranperda concerning the 2027 Fiscal Year APBD, Monday (14/9/2026).
Nevertheless, the government remains committed to targeting several development indicators in the 2027 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). These include an economic growth rate of 5.74 percent, a reduction in the poverty rate to 12.78 percent, an open unemployment rate of 2.95 percent, and a Human Development Index (IPM) reaching 74.1.
”It feels like with an IDR 1.2 trillion APBD, we have to expect a massive figure to achieve the budget. However, we remain optimistic due to the presence of specific and strategic development programs for the 2027 fiscal year,” said Gusnar.
To support these targets, the government will prioritize several strategic programs, primarily in the infrastructure and education sectors. Other programs include the modernization of vocational secondary education, residential development, agriculture, and the downstream processing of the livestock and fisheries sectors.
Gusnar also stressed that the government will continue to optimize regional revenue potential, including from the people’s mining sector. Several people’s mining areas in Gorontalo are currently still in the process of being proposed and having their documents finalized with the central government.
