Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The gathering with healthcare workers from across Gorontalo was utilized by Governor Gusnar Ismail to express his highest appreciation and gratitude. The event, held at the Ministry of Health Polytechnic on Friday (April 10, 2026), was attended by leadership and staff of vertical Ministry of Health agencies, provincial and regency/city Health Office heads, hospital directors, and heads of Community Health Centers (Puskesmas).
Governor Gusnar expressed his appreciation for the performance of healthcare workers, ranging from the leadership of technical agencies to doctors and nurses at the Puskesmas level. He noted two health indicators that have performed exceptionally well: the reduction in stunting rates and the Free Health Check-up (CKG) program.
Gorontalo’s stunting rate in 2024 fell to 23.8 percent, compared to 26.9 percent in 2023. Additionally, Gorontalo’s CKG program in 2025 was reported to be the highest in the country, reaching 50.3 percent.
Gusnar emphasized that healthcare workers at all levels play a vital role in human resource development. He expressed his hope that vertical Ministry of Health agencies—namely the Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes), the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM), and the Health Quarantine Agency (BKK)—as well as regency/city health agencies, will continue to build communication, coordination, and collaboration.
On this occasion, Governor Gusnar also campaigned for the construction of the Gorontalo Islamic Centre Grand Mosque. In addition to a screening of a profile video, participants were provided with a QRIS code to facilitate digital donations.
