GORONTALO, Kominfotik – The Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of Gorontalo Province held a consolidation meeting for the 2026 investment targets at the DPMPTSP office on Thursday (April 9, 2026). This meeting was held as a follow-up to a letter from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM regarding the submission of the 2026 investment realization targets.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the investment target for Gorontalo Province in 2026 is set at IDR 5.86 trillion. This target marks an increase compared to the 2025 target of IDR 5.03 trillion. Notably, the investment realization in 2025 exceeded the established goal, reaching IDR 5.27 trillion, or 104.80 percent.
A key strategic step taken to achieve this new investment target is its distribution across regencies and cities. Pohuwato Regency has been allocated the largest portion at IDR 3.11 trillion, or 53.12 percent. This is followed by Gorontalo Regency at 19.44 percent, Gorontalo City at 10.52 percent, North Gorontalo at 9.69 percent, Bone Bolango at 5.09 percent, and Boalemo at 2.14 percent.
The meeting, attended by representatives from the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Gorontalo Province and the DPMPTSP offices of various regencies and cities, also identified potential leading sectors aligned with the priority programs of Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail and Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie. Sectors with significant potential for increased investment include integrated poultry downstreaming, small-scale mining, and MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises).
Meanwhile, the regency and city DPMPTSP representatives conveyed various challenges faced in achieving these investment targets. These challenges include limited supervision budgets, licensing obstacles due to spatial planning regulations, and declining labor absorption. Furthermore, several regions have proposed target adjustments to better align with their specific local conditions and regional planning.
