Jakarta City, Kominfotik – The Provincial Gov’t is strengthening the development of the livestock sector through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero), also known as ID FOOD. The agreement was signed by Governor Gusnar Ismail and President Director Ghimoyo at Wisma Danantara Indonesia, Jakarta, on Thursday (March 5, 2026).
The collaboration is focused on building an integrated chicken downstreaming industry in Gorontalo Province. This program aims to establish an efficient livestock ecosystem from upstream to downstream, spanning from production to distribution.
The Head of the Gorontalo Provincial Livestock and Plantation Office, Ramdan Pade, explained that the signing of this MoU is the initial step to continue the chicken industry downstreaming program that had previously commenced in the field. This initiative was marked by the groundbreaking of a chicken industrial zone in Tolongio Village, Anggrek District, North Gorontalo Regency, in February 2026.

He added that following the MoU, the parties will proceed with a more technical Cooperation Agreement (PKS) leading up to the operational phase. The MoU serves as the foundational framework for both parties before drafting detailed technical agreements regarding the implementation of activities.
Ramdan also noted that the signing of the MoU received appreciation from the central government, specifically from the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture, who witnessed the event. Gorontalo is cited as one of the regions to realize a cooperation agreement in the downstreaming program at an early stage.
Following the signing of the MoU, ID FOOD is scheduled to conduct a follow-up field survey as part of the next phase of the program. The local government hopes that this collaboration can be realized promptly to provide a tangible impact on the community.
