Gorontalo City, Kominfotik — Gorontalo Deputy Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie distributed 1,001 food aid packages to Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Gorontalo City. The distribution was carried out in three different locations and was accompanied by Gorontalo Provincial DPRD Member, Erwin Ismail, on Thursday (4/12/2025).
The distribution breakdown covered North Gorontalo City (230 KPM), East Gorontalo City (246 KPM), South Gorontalo City (250 KPM), and West Gorontalo City (275 KPM), totaling 1,001 KPM. This aid is part of the Gorontalo Provincial Government’s program through the Food Security Office and an aspiration initiative from Provincial DPRD Member Erwin Ismail.
In her remarks, Deputy Governor Idah explained that each aid package is valued at Rp180,000, containing 5 kilograms of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 10 eggs. She asked the community to accept the aid gratefully and to avoid pushing or crowding during the distribution process.
The Deputy Governor also emphasized that the recipients were selected based on data collected by the DPRD member, thus ensuring they were residents who had never received similar assistance before. She asked the public to be honest if anyone received double aid.
Idah also reminded the community to maintain cleanliness and health, and to support the programs of both the provincial and city governments. She gave a special appeal to the fathers not to smoke carelessly, and if possible, to quit smoking entirely.
During the distribution, the Deputy Governor asked the public to remain orderly and not crowd. All residents holding coupons were ensured to receive the aid. Those who did not yet have coupons were directed to verify their identity through the committee. The elderly were also given priority in the queue.
Based on data from the Provincial Food Security Office, throughout 2025, a total of 16,746 packages have been prepared for food scarcity aid, with an allocation of 3,515 packages for Gorontalo City.
