Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Regional Secretary of Gorontalo Province, Sofian Ibrahim, met with representatives of Part-Time Non-Permanent Government Employees (PPPK) for SMA/SMK/SLB administration staff in an audience held at the Sekda Official Residence Hall on Thursday (11/20/2025). The meeting, which was also attended by the Head of the Department of Education and Culture, Rusli W. Nusi, discussed aspirations related to the differences in the Employment Agreement Letter (SPK) and the salary nominal of part-time administration staff in schools.

The administration staff representatives conveyed two main aspirations, highlighting the difference in the SPK between part-time administration staff in schools and those working in the department office. They also hoped for salary equalization to prevent gaps between part-time employees with the same workload.

Responding to this, Provincial Secretary Sofian explained that the current standard for providing part-time PPPK salaries still refers to the prevailing regulations. He acknowledged the need for further discussion for a salary adjustment study, especially considering the composition of salary receipts between the department office and the schools.

Gorontalo still faces a shortage of special needs school (SLB) teachers, and this profession requires special competence. The regional government plans to encourage SLB teachers who are currently serving as administration staff to return to their functional positions so they can teach again.
