Gorontalo City, Kominfotik – The Provincial Council (DPRD)has approved the draft regional regulation (Raperda) on the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of Gorontalo Province for 2025–2029 to become a regional regulation and being discussed during the 35th plenary meeting of the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD on Monday (July 21, 2025).
On this occasion, Gusnar Ismail delivered several inputs such as, he addressed the relatively small decrease in the poverty rate. According to him, other factors that influence the rise and fall of poverty may be driven by national policies impacted by geopolitical issues such as Israel and Iran war due to Iran close to the Strait of Hormuz, there would be a fuel embargo, and Indonesia would be hit first if that happens.
Secondly, Gusnar also touched on the issue of dualism within the traditional council, which he believes needs to be clarified. This situation, he noted, could raise questions among the public and erode traditional values that have been consistently upheld.
