The Provincial Government provided donations to 700 orphans at the Hunto Sultan Amai Mosque on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
In this event, representing Gorontalo Governor, there was Governor’s Expert Staff for Social Affairs and Human Resources, Yosef P. Koton, as well as community and religious leaders.
On this occasion, Yosef conveyed his gratitude for the opportunity being involved in the series of religious sermons and sharing meal to the children at the historic mosque. Meanwhile, in line with the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings (peace be upon him) on social compassion towards orphans.
Yosef also added that caring for and supporting orphans is a high form of social concern that carries great reward and this initiative hopefully may become a regular agenda for the Provincial Gov’t and other parties such as the community, and social institutions which is strengthening Gorontalo’s society.
