
North Gorontalo Regency, Kominfotik — Gov Gusnar did a working visit to the Cattle Farming Site in Papualangi Village, North of Gorontalo regency on monday (June 2, 2025). It is aimed to convince the land readiness and regional potential for Brazilian cattle farm center and being developed by investor Asia Beef company.
Governor Gusnar, when being interviewed delivered that the farm would operate under a partnership model with local residents. Gov. Gusnar also added that Asia Beef company will provide pregnant heifers to residents to raise, and the calves will later be bought back by the company.
The available land currently 1,200 hectares, sourced from land owned by transmigrant residents. Asia Beef company is targeting an expansion to 5,000 hectares.
Meanwhile, provincial gov’t plans to coordinate with the Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of Transmigration regarding the use of other use area and will be start operation soon.
The area currently is considered highly suitable for cattle farming. The Provincial Gov’t has expressed full support, such as improving access roads to the rather remote site.All of these things is to contribute to national food security, especially in meat production and may bring economic benefits to the local.
Attending the Governor, there were also the Provincial Agriculture Office’s head Muljady Mario, Transportation Office Head Jamal Nganro, and Head of the Manpower, Energy, Mineral Resources, and Transmigration Office Wardoyo Pongoliu.
