Export to South Korea and Japan : Wood Pellet from Gorontalo on Fire

Pohuwato Regency, Kominfotik – Starting from Pohuwato regency, the westernmost tip of the province, Gov Gusnar Ismail and Vice Gov Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie do working visit in order to conduct their program, today Gov Gusnar and Vice Gov Idah officially flagged off the export of 10,000 tons of wood pellets at Lalape Port, East Popayato sub district, Pohuwato regency on tuesday (May 13, 2025).

Wood pellets produced by Biomasa Jaya Abadi will be shipped to Japan and South Korea. Biomasa Jaya Abadi is such a company with an investment value of IDR 1.52 trillion in Gorontalo over the past four years has conducted 34 export shipments totaling 376,271 tons, with an economic value of USD 52 million or around IDR 780 billion.

As part of Governor Gusnar and Vice Gov.Idah program, the wood pellet export was warmly welcomed by them, Gov. Gusnar expressed that this is a significant result that has a major impact on Gorontalo’s economy that’s why we are here visiting every district in Gorontalo Province.

On this occasion, in an interviewed Gov.Gusnar expressed that Pohuwato regency plays a strategic role in boosting the regional economy. Based on the data, Gorontalo is the fourth-highest economic growth in Indonesia in the first quarter, at 6.07 percent.

He also added that the investment ecosystem develops in stages through cooperation among the government, the community, and the company itself
