Gorontalo City, Kominfotik –  In a meeting of Gorontalo Karawo Carnival Preparation, Vice Gov. Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie requested Provincial Tourism office create a new concept which is needed to be more attractive. The event itself will be held on June 21–22nd.

On this occasion, Idah delivered her wishes to be completed, a new concept of this event, she delivered this in a meeting at her office on wednesday. (April 23, 2025).
One of the essential parts of this event will be the “Karawo Talk.” and Vice Gov. Idah suggested that this event should be held at the Governor’s residence and enlivening with Karawo embroidery demonstrations, Karawo fashion exhibitions, and children’s activities, such as wearing Karawo costumes while playing traditional games.

According to Idah, for the fashion show children must be take apart.

Furthermore, she suggested that Karawo motifs should not only on clothing but also be applied to home décor items such as tablecloths, cushion covers, jar covers, and other decorative displays at the venue.

Vice Gov. Idah also added that regional associations and migrant communities should be involved to showcase their traditional arts. It is aimed to make the Karawo Festival more atrractive.

Belows are series of Karawo Carnival Event such as the Karawo Run, Culinary, Tourism Exploration, and culinary of traditional foods from various regions across Indonesia such as Gorontalo, Sulawesi, Java, Sunda, and Sumatra will enliven this event.
