GORONTALO CITY, Kominfotik – In line with the commitment of Provincial Gov’t is to develop agro-maritime programs, the provincial government, in collaboration with Bulog, is ready to purchase rice and corn harvests at good prices. Governor Gusnar expressed that this is a good news for Gorontalo farmers. He delivered this after meeting with Bulog on Monday (10/3/2025).

Bulog will purchase rice at IDR 6,500 per kilogram, with an additional IDR 800 per kilogram provided for transportation costs to the milling facility. Meanwhile, corn will be bought at IDR 5,500 per kilogram

Gov. Gusnar also hoped that this will help farmers due to every harvest season, prices always drop but happily farmers now will get more profitable prices.

Gorontalo Bulog’s Head, Mukti Wibowo, also uttered that his side hope that this will encourage more farmers to grow corn and other commodities and his side will coordinate to begin purchasing corn soon.
