GORONTALO REGENCY, Kominfotik – The Gorontalo First batch of subsidized low-cost market event for Ramadan was held by the provincial gov’t at Limboto sub district, Gorontalo Regency, on Thursday (March 6, 2025). On that occasion, Governor Gusnar Ismail stated that this event was part of Gusnar-Idah campaign promises with Vice Governor Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie. Gov Gusnar stated there will be more to come. The Provincial Gov’t previously providing 1,000 food packages only. due to high demand, they add 500 more food packaged, which totally to 1,500 packages. Gov.Gusnar also expressed that his side will visit every regency and city to hold cheap markets to help stabilize food prices during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr.
Each package consists of seven staple items, such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, chicken eggs, chilies, red onion, and chicken which is regularly the price for these seven items is IDR 264,000, but at the cheap market IDR 95,000 only, so the Provincial gov’t covering 69% of the cost
The event was held by collaboration of the Provincial Trade office Trade together with several distributors and modern retail stores. Some could also buy other food staple with low-price offered at the cheap market
