GORONTALO CITY, Communication, Informatic and Statistics Agency – The Gorontalo Provincial Administration has begun to tighten the obligation to vaccinate against COVID-19 for people who want to go in and out of Gorontalo. The restrictions are specifically for travelers by air and sea.
“The circular letter is being made, it will be published tomorrow at the latest. This is the result of a meeting of all elements, both the regents, mayors, regional police chiefs and others. So I hope everyone is responsible and obeys it,” Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie delivered after leading the Expanded Forkopimda Meeting, Monday (5/7/2021).
Several points and plans for the circular require the first stage of the COVID-19 vaccination card for air and sea travelers. In addition to the negative requirements for the 2×24 hour RT-PCR test.
“We also require air travelers who want to leave for Gorontalo to show a first stage vaccination card and other requirements set by the destination city,” he added.
Separately, Gorontalo BPBD Gorontalo Chief Executive (Kalak) Rusli Nusi explained that the rules regarding the obligation to show the first stage of vaccination cards also apply to sea and crossing travelers.
The difference is, the negative results of the 2×24 RT-PCR test for sea travelers can be replaced with an antigen test 1×24 hours before departure.
“If the results of the RT-PCR / Antigen Rapid Test of the traveler are negative but show symptoms as evidenced by cough, flu and fever (temperature above 37 degrees Celsius), then the traveler may not continue the journey and is required to carry out a Rapid Test Antigen / RT diagnosis. -PCR and self-isolation while waiting for the results of the examination,” the man who is familiarly called Oyke expressed.
All travelers arriving in Gorontalo Province either by air or by sea who show symptoms as evidenced by cough, flu and fever (temperature above 37 degrees Celsius) must undergo a Rapid Antigen test upon arrival.
For travelers who are positive for antigen, they will proceed to the RT-PCR test and are required to isolate while waiting for the results. Regarding travellers with special interests who are not/not vaccinated for medical reasons based on information from specialist doctors, they can still travel.
The condition is that you must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample is taken a maximum of 2 × 24 hours before departure or the results of the Rapid Antigen Test are a maximum of 1 × 24 hours.
He also reminded that all forms of falsification of certificates of RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen test results that are used as requirements for people’s travel will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
